Join me this Friday May 8, 2020 for an online presentation on the African etymology of the word "God" in English. Throughout the years, I have been involved in many conversations where individuals will refuse to use the English word "god", in reference to African divine forces, because of its association with European people and culture. Given the tumultuous history between European and African people, this is understandable. However, the word "god" does not have a different meaning and application than indigenous African words used to identify divine forces. This presentation will iron out all of the details which will demonstrate why the use of the word "god" is accurate. legitimate, and historical. Information for this presentation will be drawn from my latest book _Towards a Comparative Dictionary of Cikam and Modern African Languages (2020)_. This is a linguistic presentation, so have pen and notebook paper handy. We 'bout' to get it in. Please like, share, and keep the conversation going.
In the meantime, check out these two new books.
